Research Interests
Stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal surgery, brain tumors are major areas of interest of this laboratory. Current research involves multicenter studies on the appropriate treatment of symptomatic and asymptomatic carotid artery disease, multicenter drug trials for traumatic brain injury and subarchnoid hemorrhage, ongoing investigations into the basic mechanisms of arterial vasospasm, and multiple clinical research projects that result from the large volume of epilepsy surgery done at this center. We have also proposed research projects involving brain tumors and spinal surgery.
